What Can The 100W LED Floodlight Be Used To Illuminate?

The 100W TradeLED Osram LED Floodlight can ‘flood light’ into every dark corner of your garden, car park, residential or commercial building. These LED floodlights are powered by Osram using driverless LED technology, instead opting for a driver-on-board (DOB) system that significantly reduces the number of parts and the risk of electromagnetic interference.

Due to this, the light output is a highly efficient 130 Lumens per Watt, or 13,000 Lumens (we will explain a bit more about this later). If this is too bright for your application, you might also like to consider our 30W and 50W LED floodlight options- both of which also have an excellent output potential. You also have the choice between two colour temperature options - 3000K warm white or 6000K warm white LED - allowing you to find the perfect balance between brightness and ambience, and thus choose the correct LED floodlights for you.

This modern, sleek, ultra-slim floodlight is made from high-quality steel, aluminium, and toughened frosted glass. It is then finished with an anti-corrosion treatment. Its excellent impact protection and IP rating of 66 is a testament to its immaculate construction. An IP rating states how protected an electrical item is from dust and water. Thus, the TradeLED Osram LED Floodlight is highly suitable as both an indoor or outdoor floodlight.

As it is waterproof and protected against all manners of weather conditions, this product can be used as a powerful floodlight, spotlight, or light. It is especially effective for lighting up events, billboard and sign illumination, pubs, restaurants, hotels, construction sites and can be used as security lighting when combined with a motion sensor.

The TradeLED Osram LED Floodlight is also compatible with our Floodlight Wall Mount Bracket, which can be fixed to walls and cladding to significantly widen the beam angle of the light. The mount brackets are fixed at 500mm and 750mm projections, however, once the floodlight is attach to the bracket, users can adjust the floodlight itself to achieve the light spread required. All the coach bolts that you need to install the bracket come included in the purchase price.

What Is The 100W LED Floodlight Equivalent To?

The 100W LED floodlight is usually equal to a 600W halogen floodlight. However, LED lights are a lot more efficient than their counterparts. For example, a halogen bulb emits 80-90% of its total energy as heat, whereas LEDs only put out 10 or 20% of their energy as heat. This means that LEDs have a lower power consumption, which can reduce your energy bills and be a huge step towards carbon reductions. Coupled with the fact that LEDs often last a lot longer than halogen bulbs, you can save a lot of money by switching to an LED floodlight.

The brightness of a light is measured in Lumens, which, in simple terms, is just a quantified, measurable level of light output. In other words, the higher the Lumens, the brighter the light, and vice versa. Thus, it is essential to consider the aesthetic, design, and atmosphere that you wish to create before purchasing your LED floodlight. This will then determine if the LED floodlight is as bright or soft as you need it to be.

If you are unsure how bright a 100W LED floodlight would be, we have compared it to some things you might be more familiar with. One candle emits roughly 14 Lumens, and a 100W fluorescent light bulb emits around 1600 Lumens. With a light output of 13,000 Lumens, this means that our 100W LED floodlight produces the same amount of light as nearly 930 candles or over 8 fluorescent bulbs.
